ASUS Co-CEO calls Apple’s MacBook Neo a “shock to the industry,” but dismisses it as a content consumption device with limited productivity.

"While the executive admitted that the MacBook Neo is a real threat, he questioned its capabilities to handle complex tasks that may require more computing power."
I watched some reviews on YouTube. The MacBook Neo got very positive reviews for its target customers. Even though the specs are low, it feels like a home run for Apple at that price point.
Is this a golden age for the semis industry with Apple’s low price laptop? Is TSMC making the Apple A18?
Also, I think "low specs" are relative at this point. The A18 Pro's cores are still quite strong, and the macOS is a bit leaner than Windows. Apple's laptops also don't come with the bloatware that HP, Dell, Lenovo, and friends love to add.. This is far above what/when Intel introduced the netbooks..
I think this is great for the price honestly. It even comes with the same keyboard as the higher end Macbook Pros, minus the backlight.
