I heard from Richard Andresen on LinkedIn that he is supporting 5Spice.

If you evaluate his simulator then come back and tell us about it.

Hi Daniel,

Please add 5Spice to the list.
www.5spice.com
current GUI Spice simulator (I sell it, wrote the non-Spice part, had Spice3 modified). free download with restricted features but still very useful for hobbyists, teaching, or to evaluate. inexpensive to license for professionals. Compatible with PSpice syntax used in Analog Devices, Linear Technology and TI models.

I agree with a poster's comment that the list should be divided..Otherwise the list will be so big that a Google search is more effective. I suggest historic simulators, currently maintained command line simulators, currently maintained GUI simulators

One other thought on categories. User needs for IC simulation and discrete component simulation are very different. Ideally a list would indicate which market is the simulator's primarily target. How one would get such information is a question since other Spice software venders never say. Ask users?
For the record, 5Spice targets discrete level simulation.

HSpice, ngSpice target IC simulation

Thanks

Richard Andresen
