The adoption of ASML's High-NA EUV lithography tools is being delayed by major chipmakers due to their extremely high cost—about $360–400 million per

I see zero chance for Intel 14A to be HNA-EUV with HVM prior to 2030, as Pat G promised. Maybe they can run some HNA-EUV wafers with limited layers in OR since they already have 2 systems for R&D but not for mass production. Just my opinion of course.

The adoption of ASML's High-NA EUV lithography tools is being delayed by major chipmakers due to their extremely high cost—about $360–400 million per

The adoption of ASML's High-NA EUV lithography tools is being delayed by major chipmakers due to their extremely high cost—about $360–400 million per machine—and uncertain return on investment. TSMC is taking a cautious approach, skipping High-NA for its upcoming 2nm and A16 nodes, instead...

Rapidus Achieves Significant Milestone at its State-of-the-Art Foundry with Prototyping of Leading-Edge 2nm GAA Transistors

Sorry, it is 1M+ N3 wafers per year, not month. Actually, I think it is closer to 1.5M and should grow to 2M in 2026. Yet N3 capacity is tight per CC Wei on the recent call. Exciting times in the semiconductor industry, absolutely.

Ex-Intel CEO backs Trump's sovereign wealth fund plan — and says it can help the US keep up with China in the tech race

I would argue that TSMC would not have succeeded without Phillips. Phillips made a big investment (27% stake) and made the technology available for TSMC to get started. Phillips also gave TSMC a global reach and the confidence fabless customers needed to take the initial risk with a new foundry...

Rapidus Achieves Significant Milestone at its State-of-the-Art Foundry with Prototyping of Leading-Edge 2nm GAA Transistors

Broadcom is running test chips with no big red flags thus far. Toyota, Sony, Denso, Kioxia, and NEC are investors so they are probably doing test chips as well. The close partnership with big customers is the key to the foundry business. Intel Foundry had better get some big customers to help...

Rapidus Achieves Significant Milestone at its State-of-the-Art Foundry with Prototyping of Leading-Edge 2nm GAA Transistors

One thing I can tell you is that Rapidus is investing HEAVILY in the ecosystem. They will outrun Intel 18A and Samsung 2F in regards to commercial IP by the end of the year, absolutely. Of course, all IP is developed on TSMC first then ported over. In contrast to Samsung Foundry where you have...

TSMC Reports Second Quarter Revenue Increased 44.4% Year-Over-Year

I am curios as to why TSMC is sticking with the 30% 2025 growth number. Clearly they are going to exceed that number unless tariffs or something else nefarious is looming?
