Nominating period open through March 2, 2018

LOUISVILLE, Colo. – January 23, 2018 – The Design Automation Conference (DAC), the premier conference devoted to the design and automation of electronic circuits and systems, is now accepting nominations for the Marie R. Pistilli Women in Electronic Design Award. The 55th DAC will be held at Moscone West Center in San Francisco, CA from June 24–28, 2018. Nominations must be received no later than 5:00 PM MST on Friday, March 2, 2018.

This annual award, named for the late Marie R. Pistilli, the former organizer of DAC, recognizes individuals who have visibly helped to advance the profile of women in the electronics industry. This year’s honoree (to be announced prior to DAC) will be presented with the award at the 55th DAC General/Opening Session on Monday, June 25, 2018.
The Marie R. Pistilli Award honors a woman or man in semiconductor-related industry or academia. Nominees may hail from technical or non-technical backgrounds and are individuals who have made notable contributions to advance the profile of women in the electronic design industry. Past recipients have played key roles in creating, launching, or managing products that involved contributions from women or created opportunities for women in the industry. Some have been leaders within a company or organization helping to raise the awareness of women, while others have been mentors or role models for successful women in technology.

“With such a focus on women’s rights in the popular media today, the electronic design community should be particularly proud that Marie Pistilli was ahead of the curve when she established this award nearly two decades ago,” said McKenzie Ross of OneSpin Solutions, who is serving as chair of DAC’s Worldwide Women in Electronic Design (WWED) committee. “Marie recognized a need to highlight and celebrate women in technology in an effort to make our industry a place where diversity can thrive. She truly was a force for change, and the WWED is proud to carry on her legacy as we highlight those who display the same spirit in their lives and work.”
