Our Own Cadence Amongst the Best Multinational Workplaces!

Our Own Cadence Amongst the Best Multinational Workplaces!
by Daniel Nenni on 10-15-2015 at 12:00 pm

There were some very happy faces around MemCon this week for a variety of reasons. Paul McLellan was smiling because he now works full time for Cadence and has the best medical benefits ever and of course I was smiling because there was free food!

Chris Rowen, CTO of the Cadence IP group, was smiling because his keynote “The Transformation of Memory Systems Design” was full of people who looked like engineers. Pablo Temprano, Sr. Director of Marketing, DRAM and GPU memory at Samsung, was smiling because his keynote “Mobile Apps & The Cloud Driving Upsurge in Memory Content” was actually very funny AND informative which is difficult to do in our industry.

But most of all Mark Plungy, Director of Cadence PR, was smiling because Cadence was recognized yet again for being a great place to work. Great for Cadence and even greater for EDA, absolutely!

MemCon, the memory industry’s premier technical and ecosystem event, showcases the thought leaders driving advances in memory technology. Targeting decision makers and innovators in memory, systems integration, IP development, semiconductor design, and SoC development, MemCon offers insights into advanced technologies and standards and opportunities to network with leaders.

In addition to the MemCon keynotes, there were 20 technical sessions on market trends, mainstream memory, system and architecture, and today’s technologies. The PDFs of the presentations will be posted soon I hope. They will definitely be worth a click.
