Next Generation Circuit & Systems, Communication and Sensor Technologies in Mobile

On behalf of IEEE Communication Society in Silicon Valley, you are invited to our Saturday workshop on:

Next Generation Circuit & Systems, Communication and Sensor Technologies in Mobile Devices
29thSep2012 @ Santa Clara University Campus

    About the Workshop

This full-day workshop covers advances in MEMs based sensors and the continuing progress in the integration of these sensors with control, signal processing and mobile communication electronics. Several of the speakers will also address end user solutions (motion characterization, contextual awareness, gestures, sensor-aided navigation, haptic feedback, health and fitness, life-logging, etc.) which illustrate what can be achieved with the availability of these sensing interfaces (Accelerometer, Proximity, Touch, Pressure, Camera etc) on a connected platform.

    Location
Edward J. Daly Science Center, Santa Clara University, Santa Clara, CA

    Event Details
Cost: $30 for IEEE members, $40 for others through September 22; increases by $10 afterwards. Cost includes lunch. Limited number of reimbursements available to students and unemployed (must register first and claim reimbursement at the event).

    Who Should Attend
This workshop's content has been put together recognizing the explosive worldwide growth of mobile communication and computing devices enabled by advances in MEMS sensors, their integration in CMOS circuits & processes and advances in wireless communication. A unique event of its kind being held for the first time in Silicon Valley, this workshop will appeal to a broad spectrum of engineers and professionals working in the mobile devices ecosystem such as MEMS sensor hardware engineers, circuit designers, communication technologists, mobile app developers for iOS, Android and WindowsCE, and mobile system integrators. In addition to providing a complete snapshot of advances in hardware and software development in the mobile computing space, this workshop will offer the best networking opportunities with professionals in the ecosystem.
