On program launch you will notice many visual and productivity enhancements with the current release, for example a start page appears with multiple panes of information. Read more Modern DxDesigner: Taking the Next Steps in Schematic Design Efficiency

Thanks for the 2 minute update. How does DxDesigner work on a multi-screen setup? I have a 17" laptop with two 24" external monitors, so would DxDesigner let me use all three screens efficiently?

Accessory windows and toolbars can be undocked from the main DxDesigner application. New to DxDesigner in the EE7.9.4 or PADS9.5 release, you can also create vertical tab groups of the schematic pages that can be on separate pages. In your specific example you could have the toolbars and tool windows on the laptop display and at least 2 schematic windows open in each of your 24 inch monitors. -Gary Lameris

    Hi Daniel,

Dxdesigner may be the most powerful design entry tool for board-level design, It support real-time collaboration between schematics design and PCB layout very well. If you have 3 monitors, you can dispaly schematics windows, properties windows and contraints windows on individual monitor.

That's a great point about real-time collaboration (aka concurrent design). Gary Lameris at Mentor Graphics is actually hosting a webinar on November 13 highlighting the benefits of concurrent design with DxDesigner. Gary also just publish a new blog about the Aspen demo, which was designed to showcase the Expedition Enterprise flow starting with DxDesigner and I/O Designer and continuing through Expedition XtremePCB and Valor.
