AMS Seminar (Bridgewater, NJ)
Seminar: Improve Productivity and Shorten Time-to-market for Analog and Mixed-signal IC Design – Challenges and Opportunities
Half-day seminar features speakers from Abbott Labs, SoftMEMS, Tanner EDA
Tanner EDA, the catalyst for innovation for the design, layout and verification of analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits (ICs), will participate with other industry experts and designers from Abbott Labs, and SoftMEMS in a half-day seminar in Bridgewater, NJ, on May 16th, 2013. Moderated by Daniel Payne of SemiWiki, the seminar will allow participants to discuss and share trends, best practices and techniques for achieving productive, high-quality design.
Analog and mixed-signal (A/MS) designers are under increasing pressure to deliver more functionality, better integration , and higher quality while reducing power consumption, design cycle time and development expense. Applications such as life sciences, image sensors, automotive, power management, wireless mobility/networking, and consumer electronics all see heightened design complexity. This half-day seminar addresses the challenges facing A/MS designers with topics that include:
· True collaborative design enabled through database interoperability and simplified design data re-use,
· Efficient design work-flow practices, and
· Advanced capabilities: high-performance/capacity SPICE simulation, parasitic extraction & 3D design/analysis.
Lunch and a light breakfast are included. At the conclusion of the seminar, attendees can participate in a drawing for a Nexus 7 Android Tablet.
See http://www.tannereda.com/seminar-may-2013 for full agenda and registration.
Moderator Daniel Payne of SemiWiki will introduce the seminar with a presentation on “Leveraging the EDA Ecosystem for Productive Innovation: Industry Insights.” Other speakers:
Abbott Labs -- Barry Bass, Principal Engineer
· Case study based on Abbott Point of Care
SoftMEMS – Dr. Mary Ann Maher, CEO
· 3D Design and Analysis for Improved Design for Manufacturing
Tanner EDA – Karen Lujan, Worldwide Field Applications Engineering Manager
· Live product demonstrations with Q&A
Wednesday, May 16th, 2013. Registration and breakfast at 8:30; seminar begins at 9:15; break for lunch at noon.
